Term
Conversion days
Two dates run somebody else’s schedule, and both are easy to miss because the day of the week says otherwise. Tuesday September 8 runs a Monday schedule, which returns the Monday lost to Labor Day. If you have a Monday class it meets that day; if you have a Tuesday class it does not. Wednesday November 25 runs a Friday schedule, ahead of the Thanksgiving recess. Friday classes meet, Wednesday classes do not. The effect is that every schedule-day ends the term with the same number of meetings. Counting the conversions, and the extra Friday on December 11 and Saturday on December 12, each of Monday through Saturday holds 14 class meetings.Registration deadlines
The add/drop deadline is a week after classes begin, so decide early. The withdrawal deadline sits in November, well after the midterm.Refund schedule
The refund you receive depends on when you withdraw, and the percentage drops in four steps.Final examinations
Two reading days separate the last class from the first exam.Week by week
Weeks run Monday to Sunday. Week 1 is short, since the term opens on a Tuesday. Your course’s weekly study guide is numbered against this grid.
Dates are taken from the NJIT Fall 2026 academic calendar and are subject to change there.
