These are the university-wide NYU dates, which the engineering school follows rather than publishing its own. If you are registered at NJIT, use the NJIT calendar instead, because the two terms start on different days and break in different weeks.

Term

The legislative day is easy to miss. October 14 is a Wednesday that runs on a Monday schedule, which recovers the Monday lost to Fall Break two days earlier. If you have a Monday class, it meets that day; if you have a Wednesday class, it does not.

Final examinations

The exam keeps the course’s regular Friday slot. NYU does not publish reading days, so the last class on December 14 is followed by the exam period two days later.
December 18 is the date for this course only. If you take other courses at NYU, their exams can fall anywhere in the December 16 to 22 window, so check each one in Albert before booking travel.

Registration deadlines

Add/drop and withdrawal deadlines are not published in the bulletin calendar. Look them up in the Office of the Registrar’s academic calendar, which carries the operational dates, and confirm them in Albert.

Week by week

Weeks run Monday to Sunday. Week 1 is short, since the term opens on a Wednesday. Your course’s weekly study guide is numbered against this grid. Dates are taken from the NYU academic calendar and the engineering school calendar, and are subject to change there.
